How Do You Have Your Say on Brisbane 2032?
Three ways, all run by readers rather than by an official body. A one-question poll sits under each new story and the running result is published. A reader panel of the first 200 people who join gets a short survey each quarter and early access to what we find. And in November we open the first independent Brisbane 2032 Visitor Intent Survey: which sports you'd go to, where you'd stay, what you'd spend. The results are published in full in January, free, with the source data. The official consultation channels are the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority and Brisbane City Council; we report what they ask and what people tell them, but we are not one of them.
What happens to what you say?
It gets published. Every poll result appears on the story it belongs to. Panel findings go into a monthly piece with the numbers and the wording of the question. The visitor survey becomes a public report with the full breakdown. Nothing is quoted by name unless you tell us to.

Ten questions, open from 1 November 2026, for anyone considering a trip to the Games: which sports, which dates, where you'd stay, how many in your party, what you'd spend, and whether you'd base yourself outside Brisbane. Results are published in January 2027 with the method and the raw counts.
Queensland has about 46,000 hotel rooms against a stated need of 14,700 more by 2032, and nobody has asked intending visitors what they actually plan to do about it. That's the gap this survey fills. Panel members get the questions a week early.
Where are the official consultations?
The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority ran public consultation on the draft Victoria Park Precinct Legacy Plan from 3 August to 27 September 2026. Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government run their own processes for each venue and transport project. We report each one when it opens and what it decided when it closes.
If you want your view on the record with the people who decide, those are the channels. If you want it counted alongside everyone else's, this is.
Rules
One answer per person per poll. No prizes, no draws. We publish counts, never names, unless you ask to be quoted. Questions are written to be answerable in one line and never lead.

No. BRIS2032 is an independent site. Official consultation runs through the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority, Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government. We report on those processes.
Who can join the reader panel?
Anyone. The first 200 sign-ups form the founding panel. Later sign-ups join a waiting list and are added as places open.
What does the panel have to do?
Answer one short survey a quarter, and occasionally a single question by email. Nothing else. You can leave at any time.
When does the Visitor Intent Survey open?
1 November 2026. It runs for four weeks. Results are published in January 2027.
Will my answers be published?
In aggregate only. Counts and percentages, with the question wording. Nobody is named unless they ask to be.
Is there a prize for taking part?
No. Any future giveaway will be run separately, with free entry and its own terms, under Queensland's rules for promotional games.
