Editorial standards
How we work
BRIS2032 is a reference resource, not a newsroom. We don't conduct interviews or original reporting. What we do is track every public announcement, budget figure, venue decision and timeline for the Brisbane 2032 Games, and organise it into something a visitor or a journalist can actually use.
We use AI tools to help research, draft and structure articles, as most modern publishers now do. Facts are checked against named primary sources, and anything we can't verify is either labelled as unconfirmed or left out. Where a figure comes from reporting rather than an official announcement, we say so.
What that means in practice
- Every claim is sourced. If the source doesn't say it, we don't write it.
- Unconfirmed is labelled unconfirmed. Predictions based on previous Games are marked as such, never presented as announcements.
- We correct things. Spot an error? Tell us and we'll fix it and note the change.
- Pages carry a "last reviewed" date so you know how current the information is.
- No implied official status. BRIS2032 is not affiliated with the IOC, the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee, or any official body.
- Affiliate links are disclosed wherever they appear. We only point to things we'd point to without payment.
